NOW THAT THE MID-TERMS ARE OVER

Now that the mid-term elections are over it’s time to re-evaluate our activities and strategies concerning the future of this nation.

The Democrats won the House of Representatives putting them in a position to either work toward a better America, or undermine the President’s pro-growth, pro-America agenda. Time will tell which path they will take. After the results were in Nancy Pelosi began reciting the motto “E Pluribus Unum,” yet she continually talks about being the champion of women, minorities, the LGBT community, and so on. It’s important to emphasize the fact that the Greek “E Pluribus Unum” is expressed in the English motto, “One Nation Under God.” That must be the guiding principle to work toward, and we must emphasize the words “Under God.” With that in mind let me propose the way forward.

First we must educate the public concerning those founding principles that must be continually re-affirmed in order to maintain the exceptional level of peace and prosperity we have known over the years. To this end the New York Faith & Freedom Coalition will continue to conduct educational opportunities on an ongoing basis, and remain available to teach and speak wherever and whenever possible.

Secondly, we must equip and encourage citizens to be part of the leadership at every level of government. The clergy and community leaders must teach the responsibility of duty to our community, as part of our duty to God.

The God issue must become part of our national conversation. What does it mean to be one nation under God? That must be the North Star to which we must all be directed to. That is the only real unity that can be realized to advance peace and prosperity.

In New York State, the Democrats now have total control over state government, having won the majority in the State Senate, the only bulwark we had against bad, unbiblical legislation. We can expect expansion of abortion and gay rights, and socialistic policies while trying to silence the Christian voice any way they can.
People of faith must be totally informed and engaged while praying like it all depends on God, but also working like it all depends on us. No excuses. Our complacency is the reason evil is advancing, but I read the back of the book. We win. I just want to take as many as I can with me to the finish line.

GOD OR NO GOD?

The reason this next election is so absolutely pivotal in the life of our nation is that it will determine the fundamental nature of our society moving forward. Will we remain faithful to our national motto, or will we discard our allegiance to God, and His order of right and wrong in order to adopt a new godless paradigm for society and law. In other words, will it be “God, or No God.”?

From the days the Pilgrims landed off Plymouth to declare they came here, “For the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian religion,” an allegiance to God and a Biblical worldview has been the foundation of our society, our laws and our public institutions. However with the rise of Secular Humanism, and an antagonistic attitude in academia toward any mention of God, the bonds to our national religion have been slowly, but systematically frayed. Today, we find ourselves barely anchored to our founding principles by only a few strands of knowledge and devotion.

The reason for our national success cannot be attributed to our Constitution, since we see other nations have tried to replicate it and failed. No, it is the spirit of the Constitution, and the general sentiment expressed in our national Motto, “In God We Trust,” that has provided the solid foundation for a civil and prosperous society unseen in the rest of the world.

John Adams warned us that “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the governing of any other.” “As a whale goes through a net…” he said, would a godless people violate the tenets of any paper Constitution.

President Reagan later told us that without God, there is a coarsening of the society. Isn’t that what we’ve been witnessing over these last decades wherever we have displaced God with Humanism?
The Democrat party platform seeks to advance a humanistic ideology that rejects the sovereignty of God. What they call “progressive” is actually regressive as it would take us back to a time before the Jewish law brought order and civility to human social order. The history of world civilizations offers proof of this failed system. The models of the Roman or Greek society, or the history of Sodom and Gomorrah offer a clear picture of where a godless trajectory would take us.

That’s why Americans must vote on November 6th to reject godlessness and reassert the importance of remaining “One Nation Under God.”

American clergy and national leaders must teach the citizenry to reject the Democrat platform. This isn’t about politics; it’s about the Biblical faith that safeguards the “blessings of liberty.” Will it be God or No God? That is the choice we will make as a nation on November 6th. God help us to make the right choice.

STATEMENT ON KAVANUGH’S CONFIRMATION

After a long and unbecoming confirmation process, the United States Senate today confirmed Brett Kavanaugh as the next associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. We congratulate Brett Kavanaugh and thank God for his hard fought confirmation
This historic event has brought to the fore the very nature of the conflict we will see in the coming months and years as we strive toward a “more perfect union.”
When a tube is squeezed what’s inside will come out. Well, the tube called the Democrat Party has been squeezed by the nomination of an originalist for the highest court in the land, and visible to all, out came hate, lies, false accusations, vulgarity and contempt for authority and our Constitutional republic. This reveals the spirit of the Democrat Party, and it is nothing less than demonic at its source.
That’s why there are no longer “moderate” Democrats. Decent Americans would no longer have their good names associated with such godlessness and are disassociating with the Democrat Party in numbers never seen before.
In fact, the recent antics of the Democrat Party should signal the beginning of the end of a Party taken over by militants blinded by hate and intolerance.
The November elections will tell. Let us pray that Americans vote for civility and a restoration of our founding principle, “One Nation Under God.”

WHAT IS REALLY BEHIND THE POLARIZATION IN AMERICA TODAY.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”-– 2 Corinthians 4:18

When I read of clergy joining the cacophony of voices calling for the impeachment of President Trump my heart is grieved, and genuinely concerned about the level of spiritual blindness I see in the American Church. Christians, and especially Christian leaders, must see what is really going on in the political world from a 30,000 foot level in order to understand the big picture, and the unseen forces that move what is seen. This is essential in order to pray with specificity to win the spiritual battles to preserve the freedoms we enjoy to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

At the risk of sounding hyper-spiritual or overly simplistic let me posit that the polarization we see in this nation between the so called “right” and “left” is nothing other than the timeless warfare between God and Satan.

America was founded by men and women who put their faith in God, and who recognized as Abraham Lincoln later said that there was a

“sublime truth announced by the Holy Scriptures and proven through all of history that those nations only are blessed whose god is The Lord”i

Today, we see on the one hand, President Trump leading the way to restore national public acknowledgement of God’s sovereignty over our land evidenced by his public proclamations and the advancement of policies consistent with a Biblical world view. On the other hand we see his adversaries, mostly progressive Democrats advancing policies rooted in a Secular Humanist ideology looking to displace our founding principles with godless humanism authored by Satan, himself.

Those on the right seek to advance an agenda consistent with the view of our founders, while those on the left seek to advance a “progressive” agenda that would discard founding principles, reject a Biblical standard of morality, and impose their own standard of right and wrong. This rebellion against our Judeo-Christian tradition is driven by God’s own adversary, Satan.

These two forces—God and Satan, or good and evil—are the two poles driving the social and political polarization we see in the nation today.

During the Civil War when our nation was almost destroyed by polarization our saving grace was the fact that both sides were restrained by their allegiance to God’s will according to their imperfect understanding. In the polarization we see today there is no such saving grace. Though the right is still restrained by what they believe is God’s will and His standard of justice and mercy, the left has no such restraining concept; they publicly reject God. This is where, I believe, lies the most serious peril and threat to civil peace. With the left the ends justifies the means, as illustrated by the name of one of their groups, “BANM” which stands for “By Any Means Necessary.” This is also why violence and vulgarity is so commonplace in that movement. Whether the participants realize it or not (most do not since Satan is a deceiver who works in the dark) it is Satan, himself who is pulling their strings.

The only solution to our present day national polarization and civil unrest is national repentance and a return to our national creed of being “One Nation Under God.” It would be perfectly reasonable to debate what that might mean, but that must nevertheless be the one unifying standard that we must all seek to pursue.

Until then, Christians, and in particular those who see themselves as leaders, must understand the unseen spiritual forces that are driving what we see in the news every day, and rather than reacting to the manifested effects we must attack upstream at the root cause in our prayer life and civic engagement until we see unity restored.
Remember, it was Abraham Lincoln who reminded us of the Biblical truth that a house divided cannot stand. In the same way unity was eventually restored after the Civil War, unity can once again be restored in this new civil war if believers will see the unseen forces animating the left and engage in spiritual warfare praying like it all depends on God, and working like it all depends on us until we see a genuine revival and reformation that will make us, once again, “One Nation Under God.”

WHAT THE SUPREME COURT PICK IS REALLY ABOUT.

We heard the Democrats going into fits about President Trump’s selection of a Supreme court Justice before he even picked one. They’re raving about the overturn of Roe V. Wade, but the fact is that the issue at hand is about much more than women’s reproductive rights. It’s even much more than saving the lives of a million babies each year.

It’s about whether we make future judgments of right and wrong based on time-tested principles derived from a Biblical worldview, or we use an atheistic frame of reference where modern and spontaneous feelings and thoughts determine the way forward.

The Democrats are up in arms because the very way of life in America that has provided a stable government, and a level of peace and prosperity unknown throughout the world is being restored after eight years of an Obama administration that has sought to fundamentally change America into a godless nation ruled by godless people who take pride in discarding Biblical values and replacing them with their “enlightened” wisdom.
Why is it that Democrats object to any of President Trump’s picks?

It is because President Trump’s litmus test goes beyond Roe V. Wade. His test is whether the judge is an originalist or one who believes the Constitution is a “living, breathing” document to conform to the thoughts of a “modern” mind. Thomas Jefferson warned that this would result in the Constitution becoming “wax in the hands of the judiciary” to be twisted to mean whatever current trends dictate. In fact one Supreme Court Justice, Charles Evans Hughes said exactly that. He said we live under a constitution and the Constitution is whatever the judge says it is. That is not descriptive of a Constitutional republic, but rather an oligarchal dictatorship where a nation is ruled by whoever sits on the bench.

The originalist judge sees the Constitution as a fixed standard to which our laws must conform. Though society and technology changes, human nature does not change and principles of right and wrong are consistent. The principles upon which our laws are founded are timeless because they are based on the eternal laws of God as revealed in the Bible.
The evolutionist judge sees the Constitution as a document that must change with the times according to current values and norms.

Yes, the Constitution must change, but it must be changed by the amendment process. In the 229 years we have lived under this one document it has been amended 27 times by “we the people,” not by the tyrannical rule of a judge who thinks he knows better. As a “living, breathing document” the evolutionist judge believes his job is to continue to edit and improve this “living and breathing document” originally written by our less enlightened founders.

For the last 70 years, or so, America has been slowly drifting away from those eternal principals based in the truth that “Righteousness exalts a nation; sin is a reproach to any people,” (Proverbs 14:34). Thank God that with the election of President Trump we have begun a return to those principles that have made us the exceptional nation that we are for everyone who would aspire to become an American. But it will require the active participation of every American Christian to be informed and engaged in the faithful stewardship of the blessings of liberty.
Thomas Jefferson told us that if a people expect to be ignorant and free they expect what never was and never will be. What’s more is the fact that God tells us in His word that His people perish for a lack of knowledge.

In summary, the Supreme Court Justice choice and the general direction of the Trump administration is about one thing: reaffirming, “In God We Trust.” There is a great polarization in our society energized by two unseen sources. One is driving us to become a godly nation once again, the other is demonic in its origin driving us away from God.
So we must fight for the sake of our posterity. We must be informed and engaged until we see America, once again, “One Nation Under God.” That’s what the war is really about.

WHY THE LEFT WANTS OPEN BORDERS

Why is it that when President Obama was separating children from parents at the border it was perfectly fine, but when Donald Trump does the very same, it’s a national scandal? Why is it that when President Trump issues and executive order to prevent families from being separated—what the Democrats were whining about—now, it’s not good enough because families are detained together? Will Trump’s actions ever be enough for Democrats?  No.  Why?  It’s because what Democrats really want goes far beyond open borders. It’s about power. The quest for power is one of the fundamental forces driving human nature. That’s why to Democrats the policies enacted are not as important as who it is that is enacting them. If it’s not them, it’s to be rejected, because they dare not accede to someone else’s claim to power.
