KNOW YOUR ENEMY

First of all, anyone seeking to bring down our institutions in order to replace them with a Communist/Socialist System is in every sense of the word, an enemy of the American people. It’s important to note that these attacks on our way of life didn’t come out of nowhere, but they are the product of decades of godless indoctrination in our public institutions.

It’s been reported that some radical activists are rather proud of the Chicago looting, claiming it was “reparations.” As one BLM activist put it, “Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance.”
We must understand their thinking if we are to respond with effect. Dostoevsky told us in the Brothers Karamozov, if there is no God than anything is permissible. Without God anyone can establish their own system of right and wrong. This is what our children have been learning for decades in our public/government schools under the guise of “Values Clarification.” You know, you have your truth and I have my truth. So, the looters are justified when they loot because this is their truth. Justice is reparations for the sins of our ancestors, (even if your ancestors had nothing to do with slavery). After all, these businesses have insurance, so we’re really not taking anything away from them. Again, justified. We’re simply taking what is rightfully ours. It’s interesting that the word, “stealing” is nowhere to be heard even by reporters on the scene. After all, the idea of “stealing” comes from the Ten Commandments; God forbid we call it that; the irony!

As long as God is kept out of the conversation there will be no resolution until this nation is destroyed, as President Lincoln warned us, by national suicide. We must come to reassert the only standard that has a chance of drawing all Americans back to some sense of civility, the idea that we are “One Nation Under God.” That must be the neutralizing standard to which we must all ascribe. Outside of that, it’s anyone’s guess if we will have a nation ten years from now. The Word tells us, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,”(Psalm 33:12). Well, the opposite will also be true: Cursed will be the nation whose god is not the Lord. Let’s do all we can to bring God back into the national conversation. Every responsible Christian must pray like it all depends on God and work like it all depends on us to see this nation come back to God.

STATEMENT CONCERNING GEORGE FLOYD PROTESTS AND RESULTING RIOTS

The New York Faith and Freedom Coalition condemns the misuse of authority as seen in the video recording the death of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police officers.

We also condemn the lawlessness we have seen throughout the nation resulting in the destruction of private property as well as injury and death to civilians and law enforcement officers. All illegal activity must be condemned without rationalization or justification.

The death of George Floyd as appeared in the video does not, in itself, speak to systemic racism or prejudice in the nation’s law enforcement institutions.

As of this writing, there has been no apparent evidence that this crime was racially motivated. The victim and his accused murderer were reported to have worked for the same employer at one time, so it is possible that they may have known each other, and there may have been other reasons for the murder. We don’t know. All the information has not yet been made known. Jumping to the conclusion that it was motivated by racism, is in itself, a racist judgment. It presumes that racism is the default motive when a white police officer kills a black man. This is unfounded prejudice, and must also be condemned.

Racism and prejudice is not a group sin. It resides in the heart of men and women of every ethnic background and has throughout the ages. It is part of the innate sinful nature of man generated by pride and envy. Every ethnic group that has immigrated to this country has overcome racism and prejudice to adequately assimilate into our American family. Black Americans should be particularly proud that their forebears have overcome more than other groups. They have a rich heritage.

As we have continued in our journey toward a more perfect union, overt racism has been, for the most part, legally eliminated from our civic institutions. Ongoing racism is found in the hearts of individuals and must be addressed as such. In this nation we do not identify the sins of an individual with the group they belong to. That may be true in nations that practice collective punishment; that is not America.

Lawlessness and riots simply perpetuate the lie that there is a separate group of Americans that have been denied the opportunities of other Americans of a different color. We are one nation under God, and any attempt to foster division is evil at its core. President Lincoln reminded us of the Biblical truth that a house divided cannot stand. President Theodore Roosevelt reminded us that in this nation there is no room for what he called “hyphenated Americans,” for we are all Americans. President Trump has repeatedly reminded us that we are one nation; we salute one beautiful flag; we serve one Almighty God.

We must put away divisive and accusatory labels, and continue our march together toward a more perfect union by celebrating our unity. Magnifying unity will displace the division and polarization that the enemy of our souls and of our nation thrives on. Let us live up to the creed of our motto: One Nation Under God!

Executive Director

Open Letter to New York Pastors (and beyond).

Dear Pastor,

We pray this finds you in the best of our Lord’s care, grace and anointing.

You know, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai to restore order to a people that have gone crazy with idol worship, because of his absence, it was a matter of restoring God’s order and reformation to the nation of Israel.
“These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come.”—1 Cor. 10:11

In the same way, it is time for us—the men and women of God who have been entrusted with the Gospel—to come down, and engage a culture on its way to a Sodomite ending. In November, we will choose which God we will serve as a nation. If the people of God do not exercise faithful stewardship of our liberty, our posterity will pay the price for our “complacency in Zion.” We dare not surrender the mission field of government and politics to the enemy.

For most of my years in ministry, I have been encouraging pastors to take leadership in the affairs of government and politics. I’ve come to accept the fact that most clergy will not dare to delve into this area of Christian stewardship, so I rejoice in the few that do. It is as Sam Adams taught us,

”it does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.”

He was familiar with the history of Israel and the Joshua and Caleb minority. Their story has always encouraged me when I’ve felt very much in the minority. Yet, as we look toward November I believe it’s time to enlarge our minority. Will you join this God-ordained minority to preach the Word as it impacts the stewardship of our liberty?

If Jesus truly is Lord of all, as we profess, then He must also be Lord of our government and politics, and it is the Christian clergy who have been entrusted with the Word of God which alone can bring righteousness to this government “upon His shoulders.” We will have to give account to God for the stewardship of the liberty He has given us. Yes, above all, is liberty from sin, hell death and the grave through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, but also, is the liberty from tyrannical government common to this world. We have the freedom to preach the Gospel, and we must steward that freedom to preserve it. We must be the salt and light He commissioned us to be. To this end I would ask you to prayerfully consider a few action items:

1. Designate a Faith & Freedom Sunday and Invite me to come and preach an evangelistic message concerning God’s mandate upon the Church to be actively engaged in the stewardship of our liberties and government, particularly as we look forward to November elections, or preach that message yourself. I’m willing to help with resources, etc.

2. Designate a Church Liaison to attend our monthly meetings in Newburgh to be informed about the issues impact the Church here in New York State. He/She can then take the information back to the local church for prayer and/or action as the Spirit leads.

3. Help support the mission of the New York Faith & Freedom Coalition from your local missions budget. Our mission field is “the gates of the enemy,” that is wherever leaders gather to make decisions for our families.

4. Schedule a meeting with myself and your board of elders or deacons to help you fulfill the vision God has for your particular congregation to impact your sphere of influence for the Kingdom of God.

The Body is held together by each one doing its part. We’re all in this together. We must occupy until He comes. What we cannot do is “nothing.” If you have any other questions or concerns, I invite you to call or email me. Even if you don’t agree with me, let’s talk about it. None of us have it all together. In fact, Paul reminds us that now “we only see in part.”

The one thing that I am convinced of is the fact that that we are responsible for the stewardship of our civic liberties, and this government and political system entrusted to us by our forebears and by the grace of God. God will hold us to account as those who have been given the Word of Truth, and the commission to spread it throughout the earth. We dare not say, “I don’t get involved in politics.” It is part of the Gospel mandate. It is part of the kingdoms of this world that are to become the kingdoms of our Lord and Christ as the Church moves forward in the power of the Holy Spirit. We must pray for revival and work till He comes!

For King and Country,

Rev. Bill Banuchi
Executive Director

P.S. I just heard a sermon from a pastor of a large church where he preached from Jeremiah, and of national sins. In the same sermon where he claimed to preach nothing but the word he then tells the hearer to stay out of politics. Where is that in the Word? Pastor, your words have impact. We will all be held accountable. The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it; we dare not encourage our people to withdraw from any of it, but we are to “possess the gates.” We are responsible for the stewardship of this nation and this government “of the people.” God will bless or curse our posterity according to the faithful stewardship we exercise or fail to exercise. The future of this nation is in the hands of the Bible-believing clergy. The Church is responsible for the character of our government. Let’s be found faithful

Democrats Reveal the Real Threat to Our Constitution

Today’s announcement of the presentation of Articles of Impeachment against President Trump illustrate a clear threat to our Democracy, and it isn’t the President; it’s the radical Democrats who place themselves above the Constitution they claim to protect. Rather than an allegiance to our Constitution, their situational ethics mentality justify twisting the Constitution like a pretzel to justify impeaching the President with the hope of creating so much smoke that voters would be dissuaded from voting for him on Election Day. I believe their attempts will backfire. Moderate Democrats (if there are any left), and Independents will see through the disingenuous antics and come out to vote for a President that, despite his unorthodox style, has accomplished more for Americans than any other president in my lifetime. Americans of every stripe must be thoroughly involved and engaged in the faithful stewardship of our liberty, or we may lose it.
